The significance of physical education :

“Physical Education is an integral part of the total education process, serves with an aim for the development of physically, mentally; emotionally and socially fit citizen, through the medium of physical activities.

Our college administration has been following the same policy, ever since its inception. All credit goes to Dr.G.Madhukumar, our Secretary & Correspondent, who has provided necessary support, encouragement and infrastructure for sports and games. A very big playground for Athletics, Foot Ball, Cricket, Hockey, Track and Field sports is provided which is a special privilege to our sports men and women. Separate courts are built for Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Shuttle Badminton, and Kabaddi. The electrifying enthusiasm of our Physical Directors is a significant factor in our success. Well equipped modern gymnasiums are provided for both boys and girls and mini auditoriums for indoor games. Well qualified and experienced physical directors, senior coaches and skillful ground staff are the assets of the department. The sports men and women are the torch bearers of our success in both the fields of general and physical education".


The past glory of the department of Physical Education :

Our college has been the forerunner in the field of sports and games and it has bagged many medals, prizes and trophies in all most all events at all levels such as University / District / State / National and International. We are proud of our previous sports personalities who have brought many laurels to our institution. The unforgettable services rendered by Sri P.Manmadha Rao the former Physical Director of our college, to the field of games & sports must be recalled to pay due tributes to him. The department assures that the journey of our success continues with the same vigor and spirit in the years to come. The college has produced a good number of sports personalities in all events at different levels. Mr. Chima Okhoria, former player of the college football team has represented ‘Indian football Team’ in the yester years. Eight of our cricketers have represented Andhra-Ranji Trophy matches, Four Under-19 Indian Cricket Team, Seven in the South-Zone Universities Combined Team in All-India Inter-University VIJJI TROPHY.
