       If you would like to study in the College in the heart of the city that focuses on changing the world for a better tomorrow, you are choosing the right place. We do not use special formulas to select students. We scrutinize every application to consider academic aspects for selecting students with any socio-economic background.

     The major subjects which are taken in sciences are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (M.P.C group) which the students choose as their pre-engineering and Biology, Physics, Chemistry (Bi.P.C group)as pre-medical programs. The students concentrating in the Arts and Commerce program with Mathematics, Economics, Civics, Commerce (MEC/CEC groups) are pursuing ICWA / CA, CS & LAW courses. The Higher Secondary School Certificate, is a public examination taken by the students of intermediate is conducted at the state level by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE).

   Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya Junior college has been catering to the educational needs of intermediate students in Visakhapatnam for four decades. The Institution was established in the year 1978 , and started as Society for Collegiate Education has been a very successful co-educational commerce college and from 1984 the science group sections were commenced and from 1990 government aid was sanctioned. The management kept the fee structure quite low to encourage more students with less financial support to choose our college. Teachers have vast experience and are committed to excellence and the overall development of students in their formative years. Teachers play a crucial role in shaping  young minds and overcoming emotional or psychological related issues through counselling sessions. The voluminous strength of almost 1000 students speaks about the repute of our college.  The present staff strength is 25 members in all the departments of the Junior college.
